Country Homes & Interiors is introducing a modern new look that boosts its upmarket feel and caters to today's new generation of country dwellers.
The new-look Country Homes & Interiors will give even greater focus to the relaxed country lifestyle that is the dream for many. Plus there are more contemporary country houses, complete with the modern styling, clean lines and high-specification appliances and fittings that the magazine's readers prefer.
Reflecting these content updates, the magazine has a new, modern logo and refreshed, clean fonts. Features have bigger photographs, giving a more indulgent, upmarket feel.
Other key developments in the new look include:
· More pages dedicated to decorating, ideas, trends and news
· More shopping pages, with a fresh, contemporary layout
· More aspirational classic and contemporary country houses – from pared-down cottages to modern barn conversions
· More food and lifestyle
· New eco and pet pages
Editor Rhoda Parry says: “Moving to the country is now a major life stage for the UK's affluent and well-educated women. They are escaping urban areas for a beautiful home and a better life for themselves and their families. Country Homes & Interiors is aimed at these women and their love of casual country-style interiors, good quality furnishings and products, and seasonal food and lifestyle ideas.”
Publisher Belinda Cooper adds: “Country Homes & Interiors has been performing brilliantly since its 2006 redesign. These further changes in 2008 will mean the title absolutely reflects its upmarket readers and will help us achieve our goal to own classic and contemporary country on the newsstand.”
Country Homes & Interiors continued its run of growth at the last ABCs, up 5.7% on the year and 0.5% on the period to 87,056. The result marked the title's fifth consecutive period-on-period ABC increase.
Country Homes & Interiors new look launches in the December issue, on sale from 30 October. The issue is bagged with a free calendar that is sponsored by Laura Ashley.
